2025 was a year of significant growth for The Knapheide Manufacturing Company, as its commitment to better serving customers led to the expansion of its facilities, network, and capacity.
One of the most visible signs of this growth was the expansion of its main manufacturing facility in Quincy, Illinois, which was completed earlier in the year. It added over 150,000 square feet to Knapheide’s existing facility. And the newly created space, used as a dedicated area for material storage, improved material flow and opened up the company’s production floor.
Shortly after, Knapheide introduced more changes. Inside its shop, the company expanded its use of technology, adding additional automation equipment to its operations. The equipment, designed to handle the repetitive tasks needed for standard products, helped improve consistency and throughput. With repetitive tasks out of the way, employees were able to dedicate more of their time to truly using their skills. With craftsmanship and attention to detail, they brought to life the custom products that Knapheide is known for. This blend of modern efficiency and human expertise has helped the company create a more agile operation, capable of reducing lead times and meeting the rising demand for both its standard and custom work truck bodies.
At the same time, Knapheide expanded its Knapheide Truck Equipment Center network, adding new facilities in the Denver and Memphis regions, to bring installation and upfit services closer to dealers and customers in those areas.
Together, these efforts reflect more than growth. They represent a focused commitment to improving lead times and customer relationships—building smarter, moving faster, and delivering better.
As Knapheide looks ahead, the momentum gained in 2025 will continue onward, into the new year. The company will continue to invest in the people, processes, and innovations that keep work truck users satisfied and operational. So, stay tuned to see what is in store for 2026.
